Privacy Policy

Lian keeps your practice records on your device only. We run no servers and collect no data.

What we collect

Nothing. The developer operates no server and therefore receives no information from you. There is no account system, no analytics SDK, no advertising, and no third-party tracking in this app.

Where your data lives

• Practice records (hobbies, items, metrics, values and notes for each session) are stored in a local database on your device and are never uploaded. Deleting the app deletes them.
• Endpoint URL and model name are stored in local preferences.
• Your API key is stored in this device’s Keychain, marked device-only and readable after first unlock. It is excluded from iCloud Keychain sync and is never written to the database.

Microphone and speech

Voice logging records audio while you hold the button. Speech-to-text runs entirely on your device; audio never leaves your phone and is never saved as a file. The audio is discarded as soon as transcription finishes.

About the third-party endpoint you configure

If you enter an OpenAI-compatible endpoint under Settings → Voice Understanding, then when you use voice logging or paste import, the app sends to the provider you chose:

1. the transcribed text, or the block of practice notes you pasted;
2. the item names under the current hobby, and your metric catalog (names, units, value kinds);
3. today’s date.

It does not send your name, any device identifier, any account information, any audio, or records from other hobbies or past sessions.

Once that data leaves this app it is handled by the provider you selected, under that provider’s own privacy policy. The developer neither controls nor has access to it. Please read your provider’s terms before configuring an endpoint. If you configure nothing, the app makes no network requests at all, and everything else keeps working.

Notifications and alarms

Reminders are scheduled entirely on your device using system notifications and system alarms. No server is involved.

Children

This app is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone.

Your rights

Your data is in your hands: delete the records inside the app, or delete the app to erase everything. There is no request to file with us, because we hold no copy of your data.

Changes

If this policy changes, the effective date on this page will be updated. The effective date will be set when the app launches.
